This fee per item INCLUDES 8-week BASIC Dry Clean & Press - can add up to three (3) weeks to any turnaround time
Items must not be brittle or fragile, especially at corners, edges, staples or spines.
Tape removal involves scraping, heat, solvents or combinations of these techniques
When removing tape, some color could rip away (tape pull) or ink color surfaces could crack/break; and exacerbated spine splits/broken brittle corners/extended paper tears are possible
We cannot guarantee that new defects won’t be introduced during this process
Tear seals involve the application of Japanese paper with a natural adhesive e.g., wheat starch paste
Placing removable seals over paper tears relies on moistened reversible adhesive, which can sometimes leave marks or tidelines after drying on thin or tan paper
Tear seals are nearly invisible but sometimes can be noticeable when laid over graphics - usually applied on the inside of a cover or page
